We had coffee, the croquet, and quiche for brunch. The coffee was alright if not a bit bitter. But the croquet was amazing. Eggs well prepared, ham was well salted and thinly sliced, and the crescent bread was flaky and buttery. Hash browns are definitely a particular crunchy cube style, which I liked but my better half was not as much a fan. The quiche though, while rich and fluffy, had an inconsistently ratio that overly favored cheese, and not enough egg and came colder than I would?ve liked. Not a very good quiche in my opinion and would advise to avoid. Service was pretty Standard and took care of us adequately. Would recommend. Just don?t get the quiche.
Food and service was very good. Bardot has a great European fine dining atmosphere with dark wood trim and lower lighting creating a lovely dining atmosphere although a noisy one. The Beet and goat cheese arugula salad was nicely presented and tasted great. The escargot were nice garlicky and tender served with a sliced sourdough baguette. The lamb three ways was also a full flavored meal with a lovely cooked lamb chop, a richly flavored lamb brisket, and a full flavored cayenne seasoned sausage served on a bed of rich tasting beans. The prime rib was a tasty slow cooked medium rare served with creamy cheesey spinach and a smooth mashed potato.
This place completely took me by surprise. You wouldn?t be wrong to assume small portion sizes for tasting menus at fancy French restaurants BUT you?d be happily surprised here at Bardot Brasserie. We came in for dinner after having 2 lunches earlier on? and boy did we wish we saved our stomach for this. The tasting menu was around $115 a person (don?t remember exactly and have 4 courses plus these nice deviled eggs with caviar per person. Each dish was exquisite except for the artichokes (I just don?t like them ? . Each courses came with two plates so prepared to be overwhelmed! The dessert included meringue but it was solid?! Interesting idea? Unfortunately, they did not have the baked alaska. We were really looking forward to it.
Highly recommend the braised short ribs! They were absolutely amazing. So tender you didn?t need a knife to cut, delicious flavor, and the peas with bacon and potatoes complimented them perfectly. The macaroni and cheese is a must try. The onion soup was ok, but not the best. Do not recommend the pork chop.
Me and my friend went to Bardot to enjoy a fancy French dinner, and that was exactly what we got. The restaurant was beautiful, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. We had both gotten the French onion soup, the salmon, and mac n cheese for dinner. All of which was fantastic, but I would definitely recommend the mac n cheese, which was the best I have ever had. We also tried the creme brulee, which was delicious and amazing all at the same time. The service was also excellent and we had no bad things to say when we went. I would definitely recommend eating here if you have some money to spare, because it definitely isn?t cheap.
