Raku - Las Vegas

The meal at this restaurant was not worth the high cost. A friend recommended it, but at $215 per person for dinner, we were disappointed. We ended up going out for another meal to make up for our experience. This will be our first and last time dining here. The quality of the food was average, and the wagu beef they claimed was not as impressive as expected. The portions were small but nicely presented, and the service was acceptable. However, the restaurant only had one restroom for both sexes, leading to long wait times. Eat here at your own risk.

Raku is a hidden gem located in Chinatown just off the strip. It is an unassuming restaurant with a small dining room and private rooms. During our dinner visit, we considered trying the Omakase tasting menus but found them a bit pricey, so we opted to order individual courses instead. The waitress was helpful in answering our questions and guiding us through the menu. We tried the Koshino Kanbai sake, which was a pleasantly mild drink. The crispy fried shrimp was a disappointment as it was hot, greasy, and served in the shell, making it messy to eat without utensils. However, the Popeye salad was delicious with savory flavors. The blue fin tuna sashimi was fresh and tasty, and we enjoyed the Agedashi tofu with its flavorful sauce and mushrooms. The direct flamed eggplant was average, but the grilled salmon was quite good. The Kobe beef filet with wasabi skewers was tender and flavorful. Overall, Raku offers a great dining experience with fresh, tasty ingredients cooked to perfection. The serene atmosphere away from the casino noise makes you feel like you're in Japan. We would definitely return to Raku.

My daughter and I tried the Deluxe Tasting menu at this amazing restaurant tucked away in a plaza in Chinatown. We have been enjoying sushi and Japanese cuisine for many years, and this experience was simply fantastic. I would give it 5 stars, and the staff was also wonderful.
