I've been going to Shucks for my Seafood fix for 16 years, and the only thing disappointing is their Shucks Burger. Tonight I statyed with 12 raw oysters with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Followed it with their Caesar Salad with Thousand Island on the side. Then had the Coconut Shrimp with sone sweet sauce, and Garlic Fries with Bleu Cheese Dressing. It was a lot of food! I took at least half of the last two dishes home, put them in the Toaster Oven and was good to go round 2!!Vegetarian options: They have Salad, fries, steamed or fried veggies for VegetariansKid-friendliness: This is a 21 and over establishment.Wheelchair accessibility: There is no need for ramps as the thruway is easily wheelchair accessible.Dietary restrictions: Just tell your server so that he or she can make sure the kitchen accomodates all dietary restrictions.
Great place to get seafood. I love their clams especially in old bay. They also have great crawfish in peel and eat shrimp. The staff is always so nice and attentive to your tables. It is a bar atmosphere, so it can get a little loud, but overall you can hear a conversation at your table without having to yell over. It is definitely one of my top places to go visit. They do also have crab legs and a bunch of other items. They do have a whole menu so you don't just have to get seafood by the half pound or pound.
After a long absence, Diane and I returned here for a seafood feast. I opened with six Oysters on the Half Shell. Although large, which I have often found to be less flavorful than those of the smaller varieties, these were very fresh and tasty. Only one tiny piece of grit entered my mouth.A welcome bowl of New England Clam Chowder that was just thick enough soon followed, as Diane enjoyed golden Clam Strips. Then while she happily ate through a Fisherman's Platter of Beer Battered Haddock, Fried Shrimp, and Tater Tots, I began tearing into a Dungeness Crab Bucket which quickly filled me up with one pound of delicious crab seasoned with Old Bay Seasoning and Drawn Lemon Butter, mildly spicy Andouille Sausage, Roasted Red Potatoes, Corn on the Cob, and Garlic Cheese Bread. Service was very good and attentive, and booth seating in a casual seafood-oriented setting comfortable.
I ask for gumbo to go and this is how they gave me my to go meal, very lazy and poor quality, they left the crab legs on the soup for it to got very soggy for me and I hope I do not get sick from it, also there was no rice at all. I use to come here quite often but no more, lazy work will not be tolerated
