Panda d'Or - Laval

We came for lunch before the Laval Rocket hockey game. This restaurant is clean and welcoming. The lone staff member working the floor was very pleasant and kept us well watered and served despite the restaurant becoming quite busy. The menu for the AYCE is...relatively straightforward. We did feel they were moderating and adjusting our numbers for some of the dishes ordered. Some dishes were also out of sequence (would have been nice to have the steamed rice at the same time as the saucy savoury dishes). The food was fresh and they did accommodate requests such as removing the mayo and masago from our sushi. We would come again.

This fast food restaurant is pretty standard and nothing extraordinary. I find the prices a bit high at 16 CAD for a meal, but one pita or burger can make for a satisfying lunch, especially if you opt for a meal combo. The restaurant is spacious, making it suitable for large groups. Overall, it's just like any other average fast food establishment.

We have visited this restaurant a few times before it was renovated. The Chinese food is good, with a slight American twist. The prices are reasonable, but now you are required to bring your own alcohol. The only reason I am not giving it a perfect 5 stars is because the quality is not always consistent. While it is never bad, there are times when it seems certain dishes were rushed in preparation.

I went to this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation, not expecting much. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful food. Every dish was delicious, thanks to the Chinese mother-in-law who runs the kitchen. The $25 menu allows you to try a variety of dishes, all made to order and incredibly fresh and tasty. It's a unique concept where they bring out 4 or 5 dishes at a time, so you need to finish most of them before they bring out more. The food was absolutely delicious. Another great feature is that it's a BYOB restaurant. It can be a bit tricky to find in a busy shopping mall, so make sure to check Google Maps before heading there.

Two weeks ago the dishes were fresh and hot and the staff were very pleasant. Good food good price
