After picking up hiking permits at Glacier Public Service Center, we asked the lady at the service center where we could grab food before we hit the trail
This establishment receives 5 Stars for very particular reasons. 1LocationSuper close to Mt Baker, close to camping, very convenient. 2.
Great little cafe (and shop for gifts) with a quiet and shaded eating area. Just a small selection of cold salads, quiche and deserts on offer but perfect when everywhere else maybe closed. Not open in the evenings.
All of the sudden, eleven New Zealanders descended on the sleepy village of Le Barroux at luncthime. All that we could find was this Salon de The -- we went in and pleaded for some lunch and the cook said she could rustle up a salad and some cold meat, so we agreed, and sat down. Next thing you know, eleven plates with three salads, roast beef, locally cured sausage, cheese and potatoes arrived! And wine and tea and coffee and beer. And then a quiche. And for pudding fig pie or lemon meringue tart. All were delicious, fresh, local, and served cheerfully and quickly. We sat laughing and talking and soaking in the view for hours. This is why you travel -- to find friendly service and delicious food in amazing places.
