Steventon's - Le Claire

Just took my daughter for her birthday and the meal was excellent. I enjoyed Maui Maui on an arugula salad which was wonderful and my daughter enjoyed her stuffed shrimp with crab. Our wait staff Patti was extremely pleasant and helpful. A bit pricey but it was my daughter's birthday so the extra attention and price, as well as the great meal, was well worth it. Our party of 4 had a very nice evening dinner. We tried the Oysters, the Greek Cheese dip, steaks, salads, the Greek Chicken, and cocktails and wines. The oysters were the smallest oysters I've ever seen, but maybe I'm used to New Orleans oysters where they're as big as quarters. Still, everything was pretty good. Not amazing, just pretty good. The view of the river is really what you're there for, I suppose. The restaurant isn't exactly fancy or anything considering the prices, and most people were casually dressed. The cocktails were OK, but even more expensive than on any of our travels around the world at nice hotels or cruises where you expect to pay a premium. The service was fabulous. It was a nice visit. With tip, the bill for the evening for 4 people was $350 or $375.
