Generous walk, breathtaking view and very welcome location for a torrent at the end of the steep walk, very courteous and friendly, we would highly recommend the walk and the refuge of the bans!
We have made this trip with our family amd it was fun, challanging and exciting. it costs only 2 € to park your car and it takes 2 hours to get to the gletscher. it is a moyenne velcro and do-able for children....Our children were 8, 10 and 12 years. Drinking were ok!
The service is friendly. The menu cards offers enough for everyone's taste. We had entrecôtes and sausages with chips. We enjoyed it.
We went to the river to have a gentler walk than previous days. the walk is generally very easy with a gentle rise gradient. watch the frog on the way up. the last hundred meters to be cursed. the steepest. nothing too complicated, but a few passages that are protected by a handrail. they have a 'picnic tolerated, consumption estimated' policy. we decided to consume. the menu is limited and easy to expect for a mountain hut from the road. they have their own salad patch and chickens so these products are strong in the choices. toilet facilities are available (basic) and the zuflucht can charge up to 22 people overnight on reservation. a visit for the landscape on the way.
