Unfortunately, the home fries were at least 2-3 hours old. Country fried steak was kind of gross with barely any sausage gravy. Biscuits had a weird taste and were disappointing. Bacon was crunchy but greasy because it had been kept on the side of the grill, I assume instead of made to order. Kids had chocolate chip pancakes but would not eat them they said they were gross. Later, on the way home, kids complained their stomachs hurt. The only thing that was good was the eggs. They were perfect. Inside, it's a nice place with a comfortable setting but waited about 20 minutes. However, it was right around lunch, so that's understandable. Plus, they had the coasters you hold and vibrate when the table is ready, which was nice because we could wait in the car. In the end, I spent $76 with tip on food we barely ate so maybe if kitchen staff put out better food I would go back but not likely. I would not recommend this place.
We stopped for breakfast based on the excellent ratings that this restaurant had. The place was crowded, but once we were seated, Service was prompted. Food was really very well prepared, and for a restaurant of this class, we were very pleased. It’s worth 10 minutes off the highway to stop here for breakfast if you are in the neighborhood.
Stop in every time we go to Vermont. You cannot beat the breakfast menu. The food and service are excellent.
Been coming here from years whenever I am up in New Hampshire or Vermont. It is my favourite diner in the US. Their service is quick and the food is absolutely delicious. I wish they would offer Red Hash more often. Love the quotes scattered throughout the diner. Great pancakes with real maple syrup.
I really wanted to like this place. However, as a disabled person in a power wheelchair, it is definitely NOT accessible, in spite of having a hidden, unmarked access ramp out back! I had to have assistance getting in, then I was shoved facing a booth right by the door, and was told they might need to move me if a large group came in the booths behind me. I had to ask repeatedly for the wait person to move the sweetener and salt/pepper closer to me, and get some napkins. The omelet I ordered, while it was tasty, was far too small for the price. I ordered without carbs (no toast/potatoes) so it looks even smaller on the plate. I paid full price in spite of the changes. The coffee also tasted off, almost sour. I have posted pictures. All in all, this place might be better for someone who can walk in. I could not access the bathrooms at all. The wheelchair access symbol should be removed.
