The Tav is the place me and my partner love to regularly visit for a game of keno and a great meal. Always deliver a great steak and the best roast veggies I've had in Launceston Highly recommend!!

Just awesome a party of 8 ladies who meet for lunch monthly. All meals were just yummy ,plenty of and very very reasonably priced.. Will definitely be coming again ..pretty fair to say this is at the top of our lunch list. Friday 20th ...Enjoyed so much we went again ..My choice this time was The squid. mely in mouth and the chips are soooooo good. again food and service was excellent ..The seniors deal is fantastic will not be sorry ...Thinking there will be a next time ...

They make a fantastic pizza, ingredients are always fresh and I can totally recommend the Taverns if you haven’t tried them yet. We’ve been getting them for years and are never disappointed.

We had early dinner here on a Monday night, and in spite of the fact only two tables were occupied in the whole venue, we were told that our presence ‘was going to put extreme pressure on the staff’ and we needed to take this into account when ordering. (We were a group of 8 including two children). throughout our time there, only two other tables turned up, staff were running around trying to find things to do.Food took quite some time to come out, we had to check twice to find out what was going on.When it did arrive it was nice, and overall well priced.Have been here before and had much better experiences, maybe staff were having a bad night, either way you should never tell your customers it will be a problem to serve them, especially when you’re empty.
