We have been looking for a day of evening beer on a rainy day and have stayed on many rounds. attentive and at the same time not intrusive operation, delicious ipa, next we come to a tasting :-).

The golden hop is located in the colonnade street, which is somewhat hidden in the center west about 250m from the thomas church, and can truly celebrate as a small secret tip. the load is accommodated in a real GDR plate and the team has left as much in the original state as possible. to ask if there would be more refurbishment, he only said that he was not good in the stumble - banger! the gold hop has specialized in craft beer and had to visit about 20 sorts there, four of them on tap. Since the owners also operate the regional craft beer brewery there are always changing beers from their own production! not enough, because together with the guests, other products are developed, so we were able to taste homemade coffee liqueurs, pfeffi and cider and give our opinion on it. here will be the host of the team. who has no pleasure on it can be be but also enjoy in peace.

I find myself in Leipzig rather regularly – and have come across this cozy little bar when it opened in October. The hosts are friendly and committed – not just to their bar, but also to developing an ever-larger (and greater) array of craft beers. The bar strikes the perfect balance between offering products outside of the “mainstream“ (you would not find Beck's there, I suppose) and making these products acessible and highly desirable. The atmosphere is charming, the interior no-nonsense minimalistic and better even: the lack of pretense that surrounds so many other places catering to the young and urban crowds. I have re-visited the bar twice since October and can highly recommend a visit – and the trial of at least three of their beers. If you're lucky, you may also get to eat the home-made vegetarian onion lard sandwiches – a German classic revisited.
