Contribuisci feedbackHad a variety of starters, chistorra and mixed vegetables stood out. Main dish a chuleton just from heaven. Buttery meat with a taste of nuts, smooth to cut yet tasty and crunchy, grilled perfectly. Very decen red wine, a great efficient service and we went with sven kids. Not cheap but worth every euro. One of the best txuletas in a long time, and this region offers great food. Fell in love with the place and only regret having been here 8 years and not found out earlier. To be repeated! And dessert, leche frita, go check it out!
Three years ago we ate dinner here and I was blown away by,the quality of the meet. This trip to Spain we made a special detour to eat again at Epeleta. Now they are only open for Lunch. This is not for the vegetarians but, oh my, what a piece of meat. It comes from old cows, has yellow fat and a deep Color and flavour. Still probably the best steak I have eaten. Anywhere. Looking forward to the next trip to Epeleta. And, no, it is not cheap, but I have no complaints.
The quality of the 1.6 kg. ribeye we have had here hovers well above any steak I have tried in the States, even in Spain. They only use Galician beef. Ours was from a 14 years old cow. Very welll marbled and cooked rare over charcoal. There is very little English spoken and only ladies work in the kitchen or dining room. Wine list is well priced but they don't indicate the years. They also make their own blood sausage which is very good. We had grilled red peppers and a green salad with the steak. Given the quality I have found the price to be more than fair. I believe that there are only individual great bottles of great wines and there are individual cows which are truly great. So perhaps we were lucky but as far as I know this is the only place that serves Galician beef which is unique and on par with the Kobe (albeit very different) of Japan in terms of quality.
Exquisite quality and super friendly. Typical cuisine with quality products and the beautiful place! We'll be safe again! The best cod I ever had!
Oted pays a high bill, but as oted is very satisfied oted does not take into account, elegant grilled fish, it bites of the best we have tasted and an insurmountable fried milk, all accompanied by a laura attention and her 10 daughter.
