Azul - Lençóis

We stayed at the hotel and had dinner at Azul twice. The food was pretty good both nights. The menu is not very long, but has both local and international dishes. The restaurant is open and provides a view to the river.

If you have already eaten at several of the downtown Lençóis restaurants, you may want to try something a bit quieter and more sophisticated. Azul is the restaurant of the Hotel Canto das Águas, arguably the best and most expensive hotel in town. The restaurant,...though, is not that expensive. It has good dishes and the service is faster than most Bahian restaurants. Try to get a table on the covered terrace overlooking the stream.

Delicious food and very attentive staff. Specially the tables at the veranda gives you a romantic feeling. As it is in the hotel is was very quiet.

We had a plate of mixed starters (symphony) which were unexciting. A spicy dip would have have helped. The lamb was excellent but the couscous could also have done with a bit more flavour.

Set in a nice, upscale hotel, overlooking the river, this restaurant serves excellent food. My filet with bearnaise sauce was delicious, with a quality of preparation that I would have not expected. This is not my idea of Brazilian food, but of an international, french-like...style. For the quality of food, the price was quite reasonable. Average service.
