Levant Corner Store (lcs)

I have lived next to this store for about five years, and I have never seen it run this poorly. I waited in a line of over ten people to check out, and no one had placed any large orders. It seems their card machine isn't functioning properly, as cards were declined repeatedly. The kids working in the back seem quite clueless. The poor man at the register had to step away repeatedly to teach them basic things. Food orders are taking much longer now, while they used to be served quickly. The teenagers in the back were just standing around. This isn't the first time I’ve experienced this; it's been this way for months. They really need to consider hiring another cashier.

Ordered 3 take and bake pizzas so we could go home and bake them hot was told only allowed 12 inch size brought them home without looking in the box they were so thin while baking the sauce dripped through and the cheese was so skimpy i had to get some from the neighbors to actually make it look like a pizza for the kids. We were shocked they used to make it so amazing now we will go elsewhere!! Not just that we went to buy a nip at same time and the CHILD that waited on us looked so young he couldnt sell liquor. This place has gone down the drain.

I was eager to enjoy these whoopie pies, but when I opened the box, I found it infested with ants, suggesting it had been sitting around for quite some time. They were only wrapped in Saran wrap with a piece of paper around them, and while the outside of the box was clean, as soon as I unwrapped it, everything inside was swarming with ants. Unfortunately, we couldn't eat them at all.

This is undoubtedly the BEST family-owned and operated community store around. From the delicious pizza to the irresistible whoopie pies, and even the quirky chinchillas*—not to mention the friendly and hilarious staff (shoutout to you, Jamie!)—LCS truly has something for everyone! And let’s not forget about the Mega Shakes (yes, you heard that right: MEGA SHAKES!). No chinchillas were harmed in the writing of this review, and they may or may not be available for purchase here. Do you know how many times this corner store has saved me from running out of gas on my way home? Yes, I?m THAT person that pushes my limit, and ?I can make it a couple more days....? No, no you can?t..... The LCS is a one-stop-shop. Fuel, propane, adult beverages, they make our suppers for us, they stock milk for tomorrow mornings cereal, baking ingredients, the hamburger/hot dog buns for Saturday?s bbq that the ones in your cupboard have changed a different color. One time I randomly needed tomato paste, THEY HAD IT! The pizza? My family drives down from Houlton and ONLY requests LCS pizza! Everything you need in one place to save you the 25-30 minute trip to the heart of Bangor, it?s here. I?m so thankful for LCS and for it being so handy for us. We love the J J crew, their friendly staff, up to date renovations, cleanliness and of course the big ole smiles on the regulars I?m so proud of this booming store!
