Flavors Of Africa - Lilburn

I have been wanting to try vegan egusi soup and fufu for a while and finally I’ve tried it and it’s so good. I also had the okra stew and jollof rice. Everything was great. The owner was so nice and explained what goes with what. It doesn’t have a seating area so I got it to go but it was still hot when I got home after a 30 min drive.

I was craving a West African meal so I decided to drive 2 hours to review this establishment . Please take note that this is not a dine-in restaurant. I wasn’t aware of this, but thankfully the owner allowed me to eat my meal in her seating area due to my long travels. It’s primarily a meal preparation business, as in they’ve already precooked all meals offered/served. Everything is purchased frozen unless you asked to have your meal/drink/sea moss heated in their microwave, on spot. Although my meal wasn’t served fresh, I still enjoyed my egusi soup with fufu and plantains! I obviously could tell the difference that it wasn’t fresh- it was served hot and very satisfying! If I’m feeling lazy and craving more West African delicacies, I will surly have my order shipped next time! I also purchased their purple 16 oz sea moss which has been very tasty thus far! I was happy to purchase this as I needed another re-up. Their homemade hibiscus ginger and honey tea was absolutely delish! It’s her best seller and I highly recommend!! I ordered vegan egusi, plantain fufu and a veggie patty. It was delicious! My order took 40 min through door dash and it was still delivered HOT. I’m looking forward to trying other vegan options and will be recommending this place to others.

This food is African with vegan items clearly marked on the menu. You can order pickup or delivery from Grubhub, DoorDash and UberEats. I had the melon stew and the puff pastry for dessert. The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. I will return!
