Saffron - Lincoln

Average was great, now okay. I was in this restaurant several times in the last few years. it was once the best place for Indian food in lincoln according to my opinion, but there were standards falling and the presentation went down. eating was very good, but service was pretty bad. the restaurant was dead for the last time when I had eaten (11th oct 12), 3 employees chatted loudly in the bar area and were unattended. to the happiness was eating well. without other customers the atmosphere is very cold. when you stopped for a Thursday night, it was always that you had to book about thurs, fri, sat, but the people have voted with their feet. it is ok, nothing special, a bit pricy for a curry (to its former delight), eating is well cooked, but overall there are much better places in lincoln. as regards Indian restaurants in lincoln, there are no shiny stars, but that was his lost.

Still my favorite restaurant in lincoln, attentive staff, super tasty currys and even our 6 year old daughter said the best of all time! naan brote are amazing!

Last night had a meal in saffron with my partner and daughter and the service was fantastic, attentive, polite always with a smile. that was raised. poppadome with various but delicious pickles. amazing starter and net. I had a special tandoori sizzling dish that had so much taste and deep during hot. that was the first Indian restaurant experience of my child, so that the cook made their dishes from the menu so that she had the best eating ever. fantastic. the customer sat behind us was full of praise also we overheard when we told others how amazing it was.

A slightly tricky to check. After we had great reports about this restaurant, we decided to try it. at the arrival (we had not booked in advance) was clear that they were extremely busy, a Saturday night at 8:40 o'clock. there was a noticeable mild air of controlled chaos that we found something of cleaning. However, after we had stepped out for a quick drink before return, we found a table fast and service was excellent. we ordered poppadome, 2 main dishes from the signature special list and a lens side and were warned that this could eat too much. the food came fast and was delicious. all 3 dishes tasted vey different, with individual spices being detectable. naan was fresh, had this soft steamed bungalow texture and was a perfect companion. my partner found some of the dishes (his main and the lens dish) somewhat too sweet, but this is a question of taste. we were not able to end all foods so that the ordering consultation was right! next time, a somewhat calmer atmosphere would be appreciated by these diners, but eating was great and we will definitely be back.

Food and service was above average and nothing to complain about. Not one of the best places for an intimate meal. Decor felt a little cold. Perhaps some warm colours instead of magnolia? But still it was clean. Not on my top 5, but I would eat here again.
