The burger consisted of just the patty, salad, tomatoes, and onions - nothing remarkable. I would suggest inquiring about how the mushrooms and onions are cooked, as they could enhance the burger if prepared in oil. In addition to burgers, they offer salads, nachos, and a Mediterranean bowl that can be made dairy-free by substituting with a black bean patty. The service was average and the prices were a bit on the high side, but I was pleased with the range of vegan options available.
I was excited when I heard that the owner's daughter was vegan because there was the impression that they would serve a variety of plant-based options. However, there were very few decisions and most were overpriced. I got the vegan pizza that was definitely a frozen pizza that it was heated (and burned). Would recommend...
Don't be misled by the menu descriptions at this restaurant. They serve frozen pizza with no fresh vegetables, despite what is promised. The same goes for the green salad and veggie burgers. You'll pay $17 for this disappointing meal. It's clear that this place peaked 30 years ago and has not maintained any quality in their food. Proceed with caution!
There are three vegan options available: a hummus platter with vegetables, pizza, or a burger. I decided to try the pizza for $15, but I was disappointed to find that it tasted frozen and only had daiya cheese, sauce, garlic, and tomatoes on it. The menu mentioned vegetables, so I was expecting something more fresh. I assume the burger may be frozen as well. Overall, it was a great disappointment.
I have the black bohnenburger (labeling vegan on their menu, which is super helpful.) it was nothing special, just the patty and salat, tomato and wobbles. I would recommend asking if the mushrooms and swirl are boiled in oil and they add to the burger when they are. they also have some salads, nachos, and a Mediterranean bowl that can extract the milk products and add a black bean paw. the service was moderate and the prices were slightly high, but I appreciate the vegan options.
