Y'all, I don't know how they won best pizza in Lincoln. We ordered from here this evening. Two pizzas. Pepperoni (whatever their title for this is) and Margherita. The overall flavors were OK. The balsamic vinegar on the Margherita was delicious. But the motz did not melt enough, or wasn't of the best quality because it had the consistency of tofu. The pizza would likely be decent if their crust was thick enough to support their topping allowance. The cheese:pepperoni:crust ratio was way off. Think 10% crust, 45% pepperoni, 45% cheese. The pictures will explain my concern. This also goes for the Margherita pizza-although the rations are obviously different. The crust has a different taste too... like the dough was stored in a dirty fridge and absorbed the flavors of the fridge? Just view the photos! I will give one more try to verify that this was not a one-off situation... but it was not the best first experience.
Lazzaris is just your classic college pizza spot. The Randy Ross is by far the go to pizza on the menu and I love the story behind it. I believe he was their old Budweiser delivery guy and would always custom order a pizza so they just ended up putting it on the menu. It's spicy chicken, pepperoni, and cream cheese. Cream cheese on a pizza: unreal. He still goes in today and eats it. If you aren't feeling a pizza, order the knuckle sandwich. It will blow your mind. You people need to get over the service aspect. The employees are college students who are there to make your pizza and bring it out, not wait on you. Brat
Pizza was good, place is nothing inside and could use a good cleaning but nothing that wasnt expected at a campus pizza joint.
Just stood and waited to order something for 5 minutes. No one around, no pizzas in the warmer. Few crusts with sauce on the rack. Breeze blowing through smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Not very good business practices especially with a concert two blocks away and people wanting food before going.
