When we arrived the waitress was watching TV so we stood at the bar and read the menu until she noticed us, at which point we were all ready to order. Though we didn 't try the pizza, everything we did have (sandwiches, fish chips, chili) seemed to be out of the freezer--in fact the hot sandwich was actually just room temp, though that might have been because it took so long for the food to arrive. I didn 't have coffee, but it was complimentary which was nice. One thing that was really odd, they gave us disposable cutlery to use. When we left we all agreed. It 's okay .
I've had a lot of luck with getting a quick meal at Shannon's during the lunch hour. It's good and it's fast. Not so sure about the Irish part but it's got ambiance and comfortable seating. I like the place for a quick lunch. Thank you Shannon's!
Staying up at the Salishan Resort. I called ahead of departure to verify room service, I could not verify online, they said yes we do. I ordered from Shannon's, as its the room service option. Fast, but marginal food. Soory to spoil a night in. Worth going out to enjoy other local cuisine.
Shannon 's Pub advertises as an Irish Pub Eatery . The menu offers sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, salads and fish chips. Shannon 's states on their website that they offer an extensive selection of spirits, liqueurs and wines, and an authentic Irish coffee . Irish coffee may be the only thing Irish on the menu. As for an extensive offering of wines, the restaurant did not have any wines listed on their beverage sheet. When asked about wines, they offered two selections for red wines a Cabernet and a Pinot Noir. We tried the fish chips which were listed as a market catch on the menu. If you like deep fried fresh fish chips as you would find at J 's Fish Chips, or the fish chips at Local Ocean, you may be very disappointed with Shannon 's fish chips. The fried mozzarella sticks were very firm and tough unlike any I 've had before. Shannon 's may be an establishment where you stop by to grab a quick bite to eat and the food is okay. The problem is that when you visit an Irish Pub you expect a bit of Irish food. If you want food that is typically found in an Irish restaurant, go to Nana 's in Newport.
