Friendlys - Lindsay

This iscthe second time in the last three months that we have ordered take out from F riendlys. For the second time everything was hot and very tasty.

Never been in before thought we give it a try. Poor layout, lots of congestion at door,cash and buffet counter. Service ok nothing special. Staff should lower their voices when discussing orders at counter. Food was ok not a huge choice, salad bar was poor. Ordered pop to drink it was warm even with ice that alone will keep me from going back. Food was ok everything else was sub par. Also the plates at the buffet didn't look very clean!

For some reason , the quality of the food has gone downhill . I am disappointed . The prices and service are still good . Much more competition now for identical food. JB

This is our go to for Chinese takeout. I'm not a big fan of Chinese but my husband and mother like it every few months. The lemon chicken is delicious. They offer a free menu item for purchases over a certain amount. They give discounts for cash purchases. Overall a good meal.

My parents picked up an order of a Dinner for 4 from Friendly's last evening. My husband and I haven't ordered from this place before because we have not heard good things about it. At the very least, we have heard it definitely doesn't stand out compared to other Chinese Food restaurants (ie. QQ, OK). This food was the most plain/bland Chinese food I have ever had! The Chop Suey had NO taste or flavour - just a watery mess; the rice had a burnt taste; chicken balls and egg rolls were super-dry! Thank goodness for the sweet and sour sauce to wash it all down. No wonder they gave us a litre's worth of the sauce. Terrible! Step it up Friendly's - tradition won't carry you forever.
