Staff is friendly but kitchen staff should be more aware of what they are serving by doing a taste of their own meal or maybe run Portuguese kitchen nightmares edition. It has everything to be a very good restaurant, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean, for now, unfortunately it isn't. The experience hasn't work for e still and this has been my third time in these last three years (it's near where I live, so I keep on giving then a try.
Our last day in Portugal so we decided to stay at a hotel close by for our flight the next day. We wanted traditional Portuguese fare. I did a search for restaurants close by and picked Restaurant Nico Grilo. Called Uber to get to the restaurant. Since we had awesome seafood the last 10 days we wanted something else. My wife got the Portuguese steak. I picked an aged Prime! ribeye steak bone in sliced from an awesome aged loin in the display cooler. Wow is al I can say. The meals were prefect the. We were welcomed and treated so wonderfully! The last thing is that it was so reasonably priced. Not expensive at all
We are staying at a hostel nearby and we are so glad we walked a little further to eat here. The owner was marvelous, food good, and he threw in two glass of his 20 year old port when I mentioned I was interested in ports.
Absolutely brilliant food! Chicken was marinated to perfection. The staff was friendly and spoke English. The french fries were gloriously golden.
Local eatery, where focus is on barbecue meats. We had mix meat platter and we did not really like it, to be honest. Meat was greasy and very hard to bite, so maybe better option would be going for seafood instead. Appetizers and desserts were alright. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wine is incredibly cheap and good, must try for sure. It may be how locals like their meat to be prepared, yet for us it just didn’t work.
