The Iberico croquettes and tomato bread for our starters were tasty and a great way to start our meal. The huevos rotos could have used a little hot peppers to elevate the taste, but the yolk of the eggs provided a creaminess to the dish. The star of the dinner was the duck rice! My wife and I could not stop talking about how pan-licking good this dish was for us. This was the best meal of our entire trip to Portugal and Spain. I want the recipe! For dessert, the flan was a nice way to end the meal and the sweet rice pudding was also delicious (though was uniquely plated). Next time we visit Portugal we're definitely stopping here again.
Had dinner reservations here one night and enjoyed our food. The croquettes were delicious and maybe my favorite part. Both the octopus salad and the seafood paella were good. The caramel port flan was the best dessert we ordered (though a bit small). I recommend the crema catalana as well, especially if you’re a fan of that dish. The space is very pretty and I think the designers did a great job with the space—lots of warm copper and red tones throughout in a way I haven’t seen before. The service was generally good, but something about it came across just a tad stuffy, cold, or just a little wooden. I can’t put my finger on it exactly.
I am so happy that I waited for a table to come available, the meal was excellent. I had lunch, which was Octopus salad, and then Portugal's famous Bacalhau with a kind of tomato puree that was hidden under the succulent fish. I was tempted to go for a dessert, all of which seemed wonderful. I had the dark chocolate mousse. It was one of the best I have ever tasted. Will definitely return with a friend.
We had an excellent dinner at Tapisco after making a reservation about a month in advance of our trip. We had the Paella Negra, La Bomba De Lisboa (my favorite), Fried Choco, Croquetas de Jamon, Pan with tomato, plus wine, sparkling water and other drinks. The atmosphere and the service were outstanding, the restaurant was full the entire time we were there with more people waiting outside for a table. Our bill came to 141 Euros for the 4 of us, which is reasonable for the quality of food and service. Tapisco is a popular restaurant in Lisbon for good reason!
Fully booked for 2 weeks, I came in with high expectations. Decent food and service but horrendously overpriced unfortunately. This is not what tapas ish food should be even at a more upscale place. Even though the service was good I left feeling dissatisfied as it was simply bad value for money. And this is not coming from someone who cheaps out on dining quite the contrary. My verdict is: there are many other restaurants in the neighbourhood that have more charm, a more interesting menu and certainly better value. I’m afraid I won’t be returning until the prices are cut in half which is where they should be.
