Contribuisci feedbackWalked in off the street early this morning, greeted by smiles and had a great buffet / continental breakfast.The decor was fresh and clean if not a touch different. Big windows all around viewing tidy gardens, very enjoyable.We all ate yummy bacon
We had heard that the restaurant was a bit expensive however worth it so we popped in for Dinner.. Discovering the had our favorite dish "Reef and Beef" on the menu we both decided to just order the main as usually these are too big to finish.. We ordered medium rare in both the eye fillet and a rump. When the plates arrived the seafood was completely dried out as if the plates had sat under the heat lamps for half the afternoon or was a rehash from the night before.. Cutting into my rump was like removing the sole of an old boot and attempting to cut into that.. The meat was broiled to a sallow grey colour.. My dinner partner cut into her eye fillet and discovered it was blue as in just seared and served.. I sent mine back to the kitchen however my partner felt to awkward to do the same.. When the second plate arrived the seafood looked freshly cooked the chips were crisp and delightful and the salad was still pert.. Upon cutting into my steak I found the first piece to be exactly on point.. however the closer I got to the middle of the steak the joy turned to sorrow as I found it completely raw.. with each slice the steak became more and more tough until I could no longer cut through it.. So I butterflied what was left and decided that was enough.. It was at this point that I had to ask if they had a chef or an apprentice working and was assured it was a chef.. They then offered a desert on the house as compensation to which I had to answer I am sorry however if three meals were somehow served below quality standard why would I take the chance of being disappointed again... If this had happened at any 4star restaurant I have ever eaten in the least they would have done is offered to comp the meal which that the chef got wrong twice and would probably sack the chef.. When we were leaving we watched the chef come out of the back of the restaurant where he hopped into a vehicle displaying P plates.. It was kind of funny cause I wanted to take the sign and hang it on the outside of the kitchen so people were at least warned before they waste $80 on two main meals like we did... It wasn't even a anything special like Wagu or aged... It is even more pathetic that when I approached the restaurant to inform them they brushed it off..
Atmosphere in the restaurant is a bit lacking, with a rather standard motel restaurant décor. The very young female staff could do with a little more hospitality training. The two wait staff seemed very inexperienced, but were doing their best. The entrées
Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Ordered pork ribs for dinner night 1. They were very much undercooked. Staff were inattentive and, although extremely apologetic, only offered a replacement. An alternative meal or refund would have been fair. Replacement ribs were fantastic.Braved the 2nd night with steak. The steak was good but would have preferred to eat elsewhere.
Such a lovely place to stay - we booked a one bedroom studio and it was just right for the two of us. The weather wasn't good and we arrived just before 2pm - no problem for early check in! Very clean and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was spectacular - beautifully presented and prepared - and very reasonably priced. The motel must have wonderful soundproofing as there was no noise from the road in either the restaurant or the room. Highly recommend.
