I added this as a surprise to our vacation plans with my friend. we drove 2 1/2 hours to experience fine eating here before we continue our journey into the adirondacks. I was excited and ready to splash a bit on a chic diner before a week camping and trail mix. when we arrived, we were greeted with a beautiful landscape and a beautiful castle. the interieur was also very beautiful. the hostess and waitress were very polite and diligent. the food itself was delicious and so was the wine. After dinner we visited the candle below and that was probably the coolest part of the whole place. unfortunately they closed at 9 o'clock so we couldn't get a drink. After we had set ourselves, we noticed that our table was in a high traffic area. there was a high time in the upper floor and drunken guests constantly went back and forth from our table and it was a bit loud and disturbing our meal. the strange part was that we were in a completely empty room that had several tabular open tabs that had more private sphere. then we noticed that there was no music on our floor. we heard steamed dance music about us. When the night went on, the music turned to louder, bass heavy songs. what I had not hoped to hear during a nice dinner. I was not of the high season or it is guests, but in the restaurant itself annoyed. the high time sounded like fun and I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if I was a hospitable, but I wasn't. I will also mention that the water tasted like sulphur and there was also an air valve right above my girlfriend's seat that drops water on it. Normally I would not complain about this type of things and I would hardly notice it. However, I had high expectations at this place and therefore I was willing to spend more than normal at 1 dinner. if they are a fine restaurant and their guests pay over $100 for 2 entrees and 2 glasses wein, then imo should they be more careful in their experience. if they have a high time, I would encourage them to keep the high-time guests apart from their diners. none of the two groups should go through and disturb the evening of the other. as for the music, if there is no possibility to make it quieter, then I would recommend that they sacrifice the loss in the distribution and close the restaurant for the duration of the event for the purposes or maintenance of their call. they do not want the guests to feel like in the cellar of a club. if I had visited in another night without the disturbance of the high time, it would probably have been 4 or 5 stars.
Beautiful ambiente and landscape. cute bar in the candle with big barmen. respect and efficient. delicious choices and dishes. I cost the night of a girl with some friends. will go again when I visit my shiny.
Beardslee is my all- time favorite restaurant it never disappoints! It looks feels like something out of a fairytale. The landscaping is gorgeous no matter what time of year you go. The waitstaff are always very friendly the service is great. The food is the best around. Perfect for a romantic night out or with a group. I highly recommend!
My son and his lovely bride had their wedding reception here, and I cannot fully express what a wonderful hidden gem this place is! The service and staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, accommodating, and some of the most pleasant and sociable people they could have asked for. The scenery and atmosphere are stunning, magical, and truly enchanting. The surrounding area resembles a forest with lush flowers, greenery, and beautiful lighting. The food was absolutely delicious, and they couldn't have asked for a better venue. A special thank you to Lynn, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. This place is top-notch, 100%!
Went for the mystery dinner theater. Upon arrival the hostess seemed flustered and because some in our party didn't want to go downstairs to wait, didn't seem to know where to put us. She then wanted to send some of us downstairs and have the others wait in the side foyer. We all could have just waited there together. She was very confusing. There was only 9 of us. No one came and told us when it was time to go upstairs to dinner. We saw others going and followed along. The salad was brought out right away but dinner took way too long to serve. Food was good. Our server was good about keeping our water refilled. All in all..it was average. We attended of of these events several years ago, and I seem to remember much better service and better food, back then. Was it worth $110 for 2 people. Not in my opinion, but it was a fun night out with our family.
