Obviously, if we've booked on the day before we ordered our frying and it would have been saved for us, but otherwise a quantity is made and if it's gone it is not sad when eating is served until 19 o'clock. also the prices are something on the upper hard side. £3 (of which we had two because we were in the awe of our frying starving) for a small bucket of hand cutting chips. where do people think they are, london? overall a bit disappointing, although there's 't stop me going there as it's a great pub and i've been going for, uoh ca. 30 years, since first opened as pub in the late mid-1980s. it's an institution.
Lovely pub, well priced, lovely staff and great food. Can get a little busy when the weather's good but that's all part of the fun.
Just had a family tea in the towers, food and staff top notch, be back again
Nice local pub with a country vibe in the suburbs of Liverpool. Good food, shows the football as well.
Food was amazing, very nice pub with a lot of interesting history, staff are brilliant and the door men are fantastically friendly Paul and the other fella tall red haired lad, will definitely be visiting again x
