Don’t waste your money, over priced drinks and badly cooked pies with frozen French fries. Pie was inedible pastry too hard to cut through, chips black , instant gravy small pot of crispy onions from a packet and small pot of grated cheese.

This was my first time and I will definitely be eating here again. The food was absolutely amazing never had a pie as tasty. Was very goof value for money too. I give this 4 stars not 5 as they did not sell Real Ale and for me a pint of proper beer with a pie is a must. Buy apart from that I'll be definitely going back again.

Came here with my family after they had recommended and it was lovely! The pies are cooked fresh so take a little while but 100% worth it! Good value for money and friendly, welcoming staff! Dog friendly too! I would highly recommend the free ranger pie! Or try the Sunday meal deal! All in all, a fab lunch! They’re great with coeliacs/gluten free and vegan too! (The toilet needs some TLC as there is only one main one and it needs some plumbing/paint work but very minor! Maybe if possible move the hand dryer as it goes off all time with it being so close to the toilet itself?

We were visiting our son in Liverpool, and he decided to take us to his favourite restaurant. Upon arrival, we waited for about five minutes before being seated to a dirty table. A lady came over and removed. The pots sprayed the table, which covered our coats, and then proceeded to pile all the pots at the end of the bar. And trust me, there were glasses and pots everywhere on the bar. Another young lady came over to take our road and before we had chance to speak to her, she walked off to greet people who were at the door, and it seemed that she knew them she seated them, and then came back to us. I was most unimpressed by the attitudes of the waiters and waitresses. I actually said that I wanted to leave, wish I had done. The drinks that we ordered were incorrect, but my son didn’t want any fuss so we just left it and when the food arrived, it was cold and trust me we waited up to 25 minutes for this food, even though the restaurant wasn’t that busy. I did note, however, the group of people that have been warmly greeted and seated had their drinks and food in record time. Restaurants aren’t just about the food they are about the ambience, the staff and cleanliness, and unfortunately none of these happened on our visit . I complain to head office and I was listened to, which was a treat. I was told that we were going to have a delivery of pies sent to us which has never been forthcoming and I’ve never heard back from the lady involved.
