I particularly love their lunch only buffet with barley rice and many different vegs, so I can have healthy meals with no effort (the shopping, preparing, cooking, cleaning etc) and i feel very good for eating the meal for my well being at same time
Caught up with a friend last night and needn't think twice, we were both in need of some hot soup to warm us up from the cool weather. We decided to settle down for some Korean food at Boom Boom. Reviewing their menu booklet shown outside the store, it didn't take us long to figure out what we were going to order. Entering the restaurant we were greeted by a staff who asked us 'how many people?', we gestured just 2 ppl and were immediately given a table ???? Table water was served and our order was taken. Around 15mins later, our food began arriving. We ordered the Kimchi Jii Gae (Kimchi Soup w/ Pork, Tofu and Rice) and Dduk Bul Gogi (Marinated Beef Soup w/ Clear Noodles and Rice). Side dishes were also presented with our mains. There were Bean Sprouts covered with Chilli Sauce, Seaweed and Kimchi ???????? I was really looking forward to the Kimchi Soup - smelt amazing. The dish was presented in a stone pot and served still boiling. The soup consisted a good amount of spiciness. Cabbage was cooked to a soft texture (could honestly have more ???? ). The cubic tofu's were delicate and smooth and the pork was filled with meaty flavours (if only there was more pork in the dish). Second stone pot dish was the Marinated Beef Soup. My friend loved this one, it's her go-to every single time she comes here. The beef was tender and contained nice beefy flavours. The clear noodles were smooth and chewy. As per the soup, it had a sweet and salty taste. Which I found a little odd but yet still enjoyable. All in all, service was quick! Thank you, Boom Boom.

The food is great in its variety and flavour though it feels like chefs are changing. The yukaejang, hambakrice, bibimbap, tangsooyuk are all a really good choice. The service staff and owner are welcoming. The music needs changing as it's the same song every single time I come in, I eat and then leave.
My photo looks amazing but this place was okay. Had the spicy and sweet Korean fried which was quite underwhelming as it was not crunchy and lacking in flavour. Jajangmyeon was bland and had too many onions and less meat.
