I didnt understand why so many ppl raving about this place It was totally average Japanese food Nothing special to me Sake i had was great...!!
Fake Japanese food? Was recommended by Andy as his reviews sent us here but couldn't be more disappointed with the food and how it was handled
Came here for a quick lunch. Ordered the tempura udon set (cold) from the lunch specials menu. The portion size is pretty big. Comes with udon, sauce, 5 pieces of tempura, 3 pieces of sushi. The udon was a thinner type (as thin as soba). I don't eat udon enough to say if this normal for Japanese restaurants but I have seen udon like this in Korean grocery stores. What I wasn't expecting was that the udon came on a bed of shave ice, and the dipping broth also had ice in it. While I appreciate the food being kept chilled personally I find it a bit too cold... But I'm one of those forever freezing girls that always seems to be cold. Thankfully the air con wasn't super strong. More warm blooded, often sweating types would love this. The broth was a little too subtle for me. Having said that the batter on the tempura was super crispy it was great. The average price on their lunch specials is on the pricier side, about $15-20. It's a bit much for me to eat here regularly. The set I got was just under $15. Next time I might check out the a la carte menu to see if it's cheaper to get noodles by itself without the sushi as well. As the set was a bit too much food for me. This place seems to be run by Japanese and Koreans. The service is straight forward with a smile and frequented by heaps of Asians (Koreans and Chinese) It can get a little tight in here for a pram but if you park it in place of a seat it'll work. High chairs provided and right next to toilets (need key for change facilities though). instagram.com
