The new emilia’s at aldgate was great. we've been twice. the service is fast. tables are not too close together. good acoustics. the first time we started with a common brasaola with rocket and Parmesan salad. best to order to share this as it is a fairly large portion. good cold cut, beautiful salad with lemon vinaigrette with shave of good parmesan. the Zwiggy strands of the rocket had been removed, so beautiful love to detail. for pasta I had the caseretti with walnut sauce and mushrooms. really good, but not as good as the lamb of my companion has sat with butter and sage amazing. a side of the beans that were sat in pesto was beautiful, but not as special as the ravioli. large simple dessert of nussbiscuits (amaretti and cantuccini) immersed in dishes of amaretto. basic but quite spectacular. I have since started to serve this at home at dinner parties. at our second visit began with the brasaola and salat again. I had the ravioli that blown me away for the first time and my companion was happy with smoked salmon carbonara. we plan to eat our way through the whole menu, but suspect that ravioli is the best pasta they do.
I dreamed of emilia recently. so well. spent a week in the afterbarity in the oktober, but don't eat here until Sunday, just two days before I left. on Monday. almost it went back to eating dos, but it was too tight with my schedule. but I almost risked it (and should have looked back). had a lot of time.) the first meal was a simple lunch of the lamb ravioli in a light butter sage sauce. I ordered right there. amazing. came back in the next night and had the burratta (creamie heaven,) the amazing bolognese (rich and velvety and salty with cheese,) and the best Tira mice I ever had. a beautiful glass house red wine and a few limoncello dishes have cut it off directly. the staff was also very friendly (sat at the bar/kitchen side both paintings.) even the guy who visits my second went out of his way to talk to me and happy answered my many asking. everyone seemed happy there, which is always a good sign. they worked together well even when a new guy was trained. in my last dream I found myself in st. katherine 's dockyards. when I realized where I was my first thought that I could go to emilia.
Delicious food. they value the hype and would definitely visit again. we had the buratta as starter and the bolognese and carbonara (with pancetta) as our net. something worth it though, I ordered the carbonara with pancetta instead of the smoked salmon, since my partner is allergic to seafood think that would be okay for him. but there were still seafood in the sose or something like that he could feel his the personal did not ask for allergies, but it was definitiw our mistakes to not mention it because it slipped our thoughts. but I would give it 10/10. Loved Emilia’s
Really delicious food. Beautiful location but tiny little restaurant which keeps the door wide open on a windy day. Not the most comfortable and only 1.5 hour time slots to eat. The waitress was offering us desserts with only 5 minutes left before being kicked out.
