I didn't have to wait long because I was alone so I could sit on the counter instead of sitting on a stand. The young lady who took my drinks order was very nice and the young man who took my food order was equally pleasant, both extended excellent customer service! I started with the French onion soup, I had better, but it was satisfied on a cool day! I wanted some savory, so I ordered the Chicken Pot cake. I knew when he put it, it wasn't good. The broth and the crust were very good even after the addition of salt and pepper. There were hardly any vegetables and the chicken itself was very blanching. Because of their big customer service, I didn't want to give it back, but after a few bites I couldn't eat anymore. I wanted to give it back, and I asked the waitress about another menu so I could try something else. Andy (Owner) seems very loud to me and said, What's wrong with it? I'm at the counter and I'm looking for everyone because he made so much about me to return the food. He said loudly: You will pay for it! I said good! After I was embarrassed and crazy for a minute that I paid $15.38 for a very small cup of soup. I went to him and asked why he wouldn't return my money. With a very red face he said, We sell thousands of these, I won't just throw it away! He never helped me to be there for the first time. He was very controversial and very angry. I stayed quiet until the end when I asked him his name, he asked back, asked me mine, I said, fu! I can't say he's racist, but I guarantee a 58-year-old white woman hadn't been treated as I was!
One of my favorite breakfast places in town. This place is quite busy in the early/lunch period. I've been coming here for years. The seasoned Hash Browns are my favorite. Quality food and service.
One of those places I can't say enough about. And I kinda don't want to, cuz it's already crazy busy. I'm glad they did well during the pandemic. Food, drinks, baked goods, staff, layout, design, bathrooms; all of it is done very well. Currently no outdoor seating. Only thing that has been subpar is the fruit salad option w/ the quiche. It's mostly apples n oranges, n not terribly tasty at that. The quiche itself was flaky, balanced, flavorful, and a good portion. When they say banana pancakes, they mean BANANAS. Not 4 meager slices. You know it's all good when no one wants to share their meal. All the muffins are downright fun in flavor, and of the soft fluffy variety rather then oily and dense. Lemonade is from scratch, which makes for great arnold palmers
I freaking love this place. I've been coming here for YEARS not as often as I would like, but still, taking into account that I live in Anaheim that's something. I always get the 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 salad dessert special. And it's always with the half turkey (that cranberry sauce tho). The desserts are always hard to pick! But I've tried their coconut pineapple cake (amazing), carrot cake (also really good very dense tho), raspberry peach pie, and German apple cake. I've never been disappointed. I recently went on a Saturday at around 11:30am, and it was unsurprisingly pretty busy. We waited about 20 30min for a party of 3. To add, their servers have always been really friendly and attentive.
My brother took us here this weekend and wow. This was the best American breakfast food I?ve had in a while! The pancakes were fluffy and flavorful. I loved that the veggie omelette had a creamy avocado in it. The blueberry muffin was perfectly moist on the inside, crisp on the outside. It had a home-y, friendly diner atmosphere and our waiter was great! Would recommend 100%. Can?t wait to eat here again when we?re in town.
