In my mind these guys are chasing Chipotle with several missing components. I had a steak burrito no rice and beans, and a soda with tax cost me $17. Service was not friendly, and frankly could care less if I was there. Outdoor tables were filthy. Hopefully your experience is much better because it seems overall they have a good reputation.
Very average and unflavored food. Chipotle is a better bet.
Honestly the food here is average, and the service from Analy (name printed on receipt) was terrible. He rushed us through the line, and served my son soda with the kids meal without asking what he wanted. I don't even serve my kid soda. They're also selling expired Apple juice, and the guy lied to my face about it. (Called Tropicana to confirm that it's the expiration date printed on the bottle. All the bottles of Apple juice in their fridge were expired). I've been here twice and both times the food was very meh, and since the service was awful I won't be back. Why would I? There are thousands of other superior Mexican food places nearby. Wouldn't waste any more money here.
I had been meaning to try this place since I've seen it around and beginning to spread across SoCal. The service was not very quick. I've seen assembly lines in similar establishments that were more efficient. We ordered the Taco Plate with the Pollo and the Burrito with Carne Asada. The Pollo was mediocre but the Carne Asada was well seasoned. Nothing here blew my mind but it was a nice, standard experience. Parking was easy. There is a huge parking lot. Keep in mind They charge extra for guacamole and sour cream.
If Chipotle the Street Taco guy opened a business it would be this place. They have the speed of a fast-casual, but the quality of authentic Mexican food. I'm a sucker for a good shrimp burrito, but I added carne asada this time and it slapped on every level! The entire menu looked delicious because everything is made to order and you can see the cooks making the food right in front of you. Inside feels like Wingstop meets an arcade with bright lights and giant menus. I didn't give 5 stars because I felt the service could have been more friendly and informative on how ordering works. Also, the drink machine was down so I had to settle for a bottled mineral water. However, I will certainly be back.
