East Village Cafe - Long Beach

The atmosphere was wonderful—very comfortable and inviting, with perfect music playing in the background. The server was incredibly sweet and helpful, and even though they were the only one working, our food and drinks arrived in a reasonable time. The drink was delicious, making for an amazing café experience overall.

They love the tuna wrap, and I always order it with balsamic dressing, but the last three times, they’ve forgotten to include it. What’s going on? I really want to support local businesses because their food is great, but this is becoming an issue.

I've tried to appreciate this place, but as many other reviews have mentioned, it's tough to justify spending money here. After my second visit, I remembered exactly why I hadn't returned. The staff lacks enthusiasm and seems almost passive-aggressive. No one wants to start their day dealing with a rude cashier or barista who isn’t friendly. If you prefer a place where you can just get in and out without a warm greeting in your local coffee spot, then this is the place for you. However, if you're looking to pay for mediocre coffee and poor service, you might want to reconsider. I highly recommend checking out a coffee shop just a block or two away instead; the staff there is much nicer, and no one needs the negativity. I prefer to spend my money where it's appreciated.

Beautiful little hole in the wall coffee. they have an extensive menu to choose for them. I myself, ordered her Latin spiced latte, and it was delicious. it had a beautiful creamy texture, like real chocolate milk. Overall I enjoyed my drink and would definitely come back.

Perfect breakfast coffee shop! I got the avocado cheddar bagel added bacon to it. It was great! Also got my go to drink a decaf iced americano. It was super strong, which I absolutely love. Maybe get extra ice or cream if you don't like your coffee too strong. : They've also got indoor seating with outlets near the tables, along with outdoor seating umbrellas for shade.
