We decided to order a variety of dishes to sample different options. Unfortunately, the Lobster Ravioli was simply mediocre—bland, tasteless, and mushy. The Seafood Risotto suffered the same fate—also bland, tasteless, and mushy. The pork chops were tough and dry. The avocado pizza was decent, though, and the bread served at our table was probably the best thing we had during the meal. On a positive note, the portion sizes were generous and definitely meant for sharing, so we all took our leftovers home. However, here I am, two days later, and my leftovers are still untouched in the fridge!
I don't live nearby, but I was invited by my father and his wife to celebrate my birthday, and I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere, food, and customer service were exceptional. I tried a pizza recommended by our waitress, and it was unlike anything I had before—absolutely superb. The drinks were perfectly crafted, too. Our waitress was friendly and ensured we were well taken care of with a smile. The place has a warm neighborhood vibe, complemented by an elegant touch. They use simple Italian ingredients that make for flavorful and enjoyable dishes. If you're in the area, you definitely need to stop by for dinner!
Russo's has been a presence on Naples Island for almost 30 years, first at Pasta Al Dente then renamed. They serve a wide variety of dishes with quiet friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere. We recently hosted a retirement dinner for my wife and our close friends at Russo's and it was a wonderful evening. Some of the basics were exceptionally good like the fried calamari and home made focaccia bread. The pasta, fish, and meat dishes were all served in generous portions and carefully prepared. Our guests all enjoyed themselves immensely. Having lived in Chicago for 30 years, I miss the small intimate Italian restaurants which the city is famous for. Most people in Chicag have their favorite. Russo's is that type of place with a loyal clientele that swear by it. We look forward to many future dinners there.
Came here for date night with my wife and we loved it! Their drinks were nice, strong and generous. I'm a big fan of giving the martini in the shaker. For dinner we shared their Margherita pizza and pasta di mare, and both were phenomenal. The atmosphere is very laid back and relaxing, and the service is very attentive and cordial. I'm just disappointed after visiting belmont shores /Naples for 10 years it's taken me this long to come here. Don't make the mistake I made come check this place out.
