Taco Beach Cantina - Long Beach

The tacos at this restaurant are delicious. We picked some up before our flight and our hunger was satisfied! The service was quick, the restaurant was not too busy, and there was a good variety of choices. The location is larger than others we have been to.

Breakfast tacos are not good here. It would not take much effort to elevate the game. The scrambled eggs did not taste like they were seasoned before cooking. The corn tortillas were just heated on the griddle without any oil. That dries them out and when I got my breakfast tacos, the tortillas fell apart. I guess that's why they give you a fork with the tortillas. Here is my Gordan Ramsey advice to help improve the customer experience. Season the eggs before you scramble them. And warm up the corn tortillas by misting them with oil first. That will make them more pliable, bring out the corn taste, and elevate the taste experience.

This was the worst airport dining experience I have ever had, and that's saying something for airport food! It was laughably bad. The chips were gross, the salsa was bland with no salt or spice, and the queso tasted like concession nacho cheese. The Baja style tacos didn't have the right ingredients or sauce, and the meat was lacking in salt and seasoning. To top it off, it was overpriced. We also ordered two margaritas to wash down this terrible meal, but at $20 each, they were undrinkable. I highly recommend eating before arriving at LGB airport. I wish I could get a refund, but I don't have the energy. And I'm still hungry. Update: we did not pay for the $20 margaritas.

After a long flight, we had a 2-hour layover at this restaurant and decided to grab a quick bite. We ordered the nachos, which were made to order but not warm when served. They were haphazardly assembled in front of us. The $12 price only includes chips, beans, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo - any additional toppings such as meat, guacamole, or queso cost extra. With only one staff member working at the time, the wait for our food was long as they were taking orders, preparing food, and taking payments. The portion size was decent, but overall I would not recommend this place.

The food was cooked fresh and it was good. They price for a cheese quesadilla was a little pricey, especially with additional adds on. But it's an airport price.
