Potbelly Sandwich Shop - Longview

The sandwiches here are fantastic—all of them! It's wonderful that they are toasted, as it really enhances the flavor. I also have to mention the chocolate chip oatmeal cookie; it's the most delicious one I've ever had! I'm really happy to have this place in Longview.

The food was excellent, and the person who took my order and prepared my meal was fantastic—very friendly and attentive. However, when I was ready to continue my order, a young lady who had taken my husband's order told me to wait a moment. I explained that I wanted to add something else to his order. She seemed confused and asked if my item was part of his order. I replied yes, and then she proceeded to ask if his salad was part of my item. I was thinking, "Can you please take my order already?" It felt like she wanted me to wait until she finished making his salad before she would take my order, which was related to his. I didn’t want to deal with the frustration, so I decided to give her the minute she requested and stepped outside to get some information for someone on the phone. This took maybe 30 seconds. When I came back in, my husband was paying, and I told him I hadn’t placed my order yet. The girl then said, "I went down there, but you left." Are you kidding me? My husband was confused, and I was quite upset. Then a guy in the back called out that he could take my order. Fortunately, he was friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. This was our first time trying this place.

Charming little place! If you're elderly or have mobility issues, it might not be the best choice for dining in. This is a genuine sandwich shop with high-quality ingredients. The Italian sandwich is fantastic, and my mom thinks the tuna salad is wonderful too. They offer a selection of fresh vegetables and 3 different types of bread, and the sandwiches are served quickly and warm. You can also get chips and choose from bottled or tap water drinks. Everything is delicious! I'm giving it a 4-star rating mainly because the seating is quite hard.

I finally had the chance to try the shakes, and I have to say, my favorite is the lemon cookie shake. It's closely followed by the coffee shake, which is also delicious! If you enjoy cold brew, you'll definitely love the coffee shake. It provided just the right amount of energy for the rest of my evening without keeping me up all night. The staff here are super friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. They truly are fantastic!
