Gunston Wok - Lorton

Great Chinese takeout! The food was fresh, hot, and prepared quickly. The chicken was tender and made from high-quality all-white meat. Ordering was a breeze, and they do an excellent job of minimizing contact and ensuring everyone wears masks.

We've recently moved back to the area and discovered that Hunan Lorton has closed down. However, we've finally found a solid local Chinese restaurant that doesn't empty our wallets. While we haven't tried everything on the menu yet, I can confidently say that, although the food isn't authentic Chinese and doesn't push any culinary boundaries, it's good, flavorful American-style cuisine. And that's great! It's exactly what we were looking for, which is why I'm giving it five stars. Just a heads up: many of the dishes let you choose your spice level. I played it safe and opted for medium for our first order... but keep in mind that they seem to use a more American scale for spiciness (my husband joked that it should be labeled "sharp"). I felt a slight tingle on my tongue, so adjust your expectations accordingly!

We ordered pan roasted dumplings, chicken roasted rice, lo my hot and sour soup and egg drops soup and everything was delicious.

The food is delicious. Baked dumplings are big. Beef and broccoli is a very good part. And the shrimp frying actually uses decent shrimp instead of the tiny ones you normally see in other restaurants

I tried Shrimp Egg Fu Young for the first time, and it was delicious!
