The food was not worth what they were charging. A lot of the food items they were out of such as rice, hashbrowns, and steak. You would expect refried beans with some flavor considering this is a Mexican food diner, however, they served us pinto beans. The food is very bland. The soda tasted like water. The chips and salsa were great. Would not recommend to come here if you are wanting flavorful food.
Been here a few times as I can only make it here when I’m passing through ABQ before 2pm. I love the retro atmosphere and the wonderfully prepared food. The staff is friendly and all the food is perfectly seasoned and served in large portions. I’ve had the carne asada burrito as well as the carne adovada enchiladas. Both came with pinto beans (not refried) and potatoes (sliced and fried) as well as a choice of red or green sauce, but only an animal wouldn’t choose both. Items from the dinner menu also come with a bowl of stew which was a pleasant bonus.I need to try some breakfast choices next time I come through.
As im a red chile gal....its my go to at restaurants...there was No flavor in the Carne adovada. I was expecting at least garlic.Homemade papas were burnt. Hashbrowns undercooked. Friendly staff....Maybe one day I'll give it another try but I definitely left hungry.
Worst service, awful rude waitresses, and it took at least an hour to be served. Order wasn’t taken properly. I’ll never waste money at this place
