What we got was mediocre at best. My sister ordered the haddock au Citron. I ordered the seafood medley, which is basically the same dish with shrimp and scallops added. The sides were fresh vegetables and rice. I ordered an espresso mudslide , which was tasty but didn 't come with whipped cream as described. The haddock au Citron, described as lightly floured, wiith lemon butter . My sister said the only lemon on her fish was the juice she squeezed from the lemon wedge served with the meal. My haddock and seafood were perfectly cooked but seemed to be lacking the lemon and herb drizzle . The vegetables were fresh and crisp but completely devoid of any seasoning. The rice was flavorless and dry. (We were told the rice had garlic nope) Our server was efficient. I 'm giving three stars based on the seafood only.
Haddock and scallops with fresh veg and mashed potatoes. Absolutely gorgeous. The crab cake appetisers were superb.
The best seafood chowder ... EVER. Service was very good also. Nice location of the water with outside seating
Was so excited to visit Louisbourg and the fort. Forgot to eat first, not easy to do being on the road. Went through the fort taking it all in, but wasn't prepared for the sit down options there. Driving forlornly out of town, we saw The Foggy Hermit. I ordered the fish tacos, that I'm pretty sure will be the best I will ever have. Heavenly, fresh and delicious. Excellent coffee and friendly greeting and service. Thank you for being above and beyond expectations.
Amazing staff and great food! Beautiful place to get a delicious food when you visit Louisburg.
