Le Banneton Café French Bakery

The ice latte here was absolutely atrocious. I couldn’t taste the coffee at all it contained no more than a fraction of a shot of espresso; amounting to nothing more than a glass of watered down milk. I cannot believe anyone would visit this place twice. When I told the barista it tasted like water and asked how many shots were in it she told me one but in truth it was closer to a fraction of a shot. My other issue was the filthy toilet (photo enclosed) When a restaurant doesn’t bother to keep its toilet clean it raises issues of questionable hygiene. What must the kitchen be like? and the preparation of the food? And the barista was using her bare hands to put ice cubes in the coffees which I found most off putting, especially after seeing the toilet. The staff lack sophistication, basic social skills and hygiene standards. A place to be avoided in my view.

Great spot for some comfort food when you’ve been travelling a while. Really nice atmosphere, a great place to relax and have a coffee or some food. We had a Tuna Salad, which was big, fresh and tasty, and a Tuna Club Sandwich, which was really scrummy. We’ll be back!

Great place to chill and have a coffee the croissant was really good I as the smoked salmon breakfast set which came with a smoked salmon bite with I think a sourdough base with capers and dill with smoked salmon and yogurt which was nice there was a side of salad and a olive bread which was rather interesting none the least and the fruits were super fresh! Tea was great as well I had the lemon tea which was a tad sour. The farmers tea was light and very nice. There’s a ton of other options I feel if you don’t want a light breakfast like burgers and sandwiches to pizzas.

Croissant is absolutely delicious. Fresh fruits, honey, and yogurt is nice. Coffee is just standard and I have waited almost half an hour for the coffee and lemon tea. Service is nice, friendly staff. A bit Pricey. Crowded with visitors all day.

This cafe gets quite high ratings. So I decided to give it a try. I like the atmosphere. We ordered 3 breakfast sets. As usual for Asia most of the orders got mixed up. Eggs,l and bacon where cold and strangley the coffee choice on the breakfast sets lacks if coffee with milk. But overall it was a good breakfast. Not having a Mekong view although did not compensate for the quality.
