Au Fil des Saisons - Luçon

Recommended by our holiday home folder, this restaurant was only a five minute drive away. A day after our wedding anniversary we headed her with my sisters babysitting for us. The welcome was very friendly (it seems we spoke French so well that we were given French menus when English ones were available). The set menu was only €27 but the food was exquisite. In the U.K. this type of meal would cost a fortune but here it seems incredibly cheap. Sardines and beef terrine for starters, beef and fish of the day for mains and apple tart and pistachio and raspberry for pudding. Tasty wines and excellent service - cannot recommend enough.

We came here for a large group meal at the end of a holiday. The food was fantastic, with Parisiens and English guests both very pleased with the meals that they received. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was good value, and the wine list was also reasonably priced.

From the moment you arrive at the restaurant, you experience the very best service. In an ambiance that is welcoming and relaxing, the menu, the appetisers, the choice of wines and above all, the service ensure that you will have the very best experience. The menu changes regularly, no chance of eating the same meal twice, even though you would probably want to !

Gorgeous setting, lovely feel and very helpful, polite staff - and the food was amazing! 3 courses for approximately €27 and all very "fine dining". Varied menu with local specialities and traditional food. Good wine selection too with knowledgeable staff (one man in particular)It was our second visit in 5 years and was as good this time as the 1st. Highly recommended *****

Food and presentation fantastic. Front of house, Audrey, spoke excellent English and happily explained the menu to us, which we have found a problem in this area, every course was to a high standard with local fresh produce. The waiting staff were all attentive and friendly making an effort to speak English to us. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The hotel element looked reasonably priced and run to the same standard should be worth a visit.
