What a brilliant find! Beautiful outdoor dining area with friendly staff and friendly service. Not a elaborate menu, but the most amazing authentic pizzas (you can observe how the cook does it and throws the dough) and the huge salads so fresh and tasty....We visited here three times during our stay and every time, we were very satisfied. Also the staff was cheerful to us as most other diners seemed to be on site. They even spoke English to help with our selections. Good value for money. Certainly recommend this place to eat or take. We're coming back!
We found this restaurant by chance, looked like many locals we took as a good sign! All meals (6 of us including children) were fantastic, especially salads and pizza and good cheap wine! Would absolutely recommend and if we...re back in lucon will visit again!
The restaurant was busy that we made a good sign. We ordered steak and chips a good French clip. The food was well cooked, but could have done with sauce, which was surprisingly not offered on the menu. The service was something... relentless, we had to get our own glasses, salt and pepper, and were considered most strange when we asked for Mayonnaise to make the lack of sauce. None of these are terrible crimes, but if you add red wine in a slightly vinegary house to a quite expensive price I would recommend people to eat elsewhere!
We ate lunch here having found difficulty in finding another restaurant in town. It was quite busy being used by local people and primarily it seemed by business folk. It had a cheap daily menu, which many people appeared to be having. We ordered oysters...and prawns to start, and were very concerned about the oysters, which were flat to the shell and dried out. The manager came after we sent them back and showed us an invoice, which stated he had in fact purchased fresh oysters, but we still doubted that these were they. Having eaten oysters in large quantities, we had never seen completely flat and juiceless oysters before. Perhaps they were something different? The crevettes were reasonable. We had two of the plat du jour, skate which had been poached. It was not very appetizing either. A pudding was served which was reasonable. The wine a Val de Loire Sauvignon was Euros 21, and was reasonable. Service was very lack lustre and sad. It is not somewhere we would wish to return to and we were saddened by this as it appeared to be the local hostellery .
