Onto this wonderful little property and the fantastic owners who with less than an hours notice managed to prepare two rooms that would accommodate the whole family. Upon arrival the whole family was sad and despondent after a two day journey and the disappointment of our long awaited holiday appearing to be over before it begun. We arrived with bags full of shopping no good to no one in a bed and breakfast but thankfully the owners allowed us to use their kitchen to cook and utilise the food we had brought with us. The rooms and the whole theme of the accommodation were absolutely spotless and fashioned in a way that where both modern and bohemian. The beds where very comfortable and bedding well suited to the minus 11oC it reached on our first night, En-suite facilities within each room where top class with endless hot water enough for all five of us, lighting and comfort of the rooms was also very good. The owners did not speak much English and we not much French, but I have to say it was a laugh all week trying to communicate by the use of google translate which proved to be a saviour to the occasional blank faces we would all have. Meals and food available at the accommodation are fantastic and the owners passion for food is clear with a valentines meal to remember being enjoyed by the whole family, the children loved the chicken so much we have already had to buy a oven dish to try and replicate the succulent crumbling chicken we all enjoyed. The owner also has a very good taste for wine and whether you like white red or rose I’m sure they will have something that will satisfy your needs. If wine is not your thing, there is a cracking patisserie just around the corner and a butchery just next door In regards to skiing, the accommodation is positioned 5 mind from Habère-Poche and equally from Hermantez, both with adequate snow however we even ventured out to Les Gets for a day and if you want a lot of snow it is only a 45 minute drive away. All in all from disappointment at the beginning of our stay we left with the usual holiday sorrow of having return to normal life, the accommodation, location, cleanliness and best of all the owners were all fantastic and well worth a visit by anyone reading this review. Thank you for rescuing our holiday and allowing us the chance to enjoy it fully as we planned, Dean, Jo, Josh, Elliott and Mia We are even contemplating a summer time stay to experience the beauty of the Alps in the summertime.
Wonderful friendly welcome to an authentic rural village venue in the pre Alps. Lovely meal with friends served by a genuine friendly couple in their own home. Well worth a visit anytime but phone first to check the menu and opening hours.
