Outside The Cone - Lynchburg

Delicious ice cream, lovely atmosphere, and a friendly staff. I'm visiting from Missouri and highly recommend this place, thanks to my daughter Jess, my son-in-law Ken, and my grandkids Maya and Obi!

I always appreciate the creative and innovative offerings at Outside the Cone, even though we typically dine indoors.

While the flavor of the off the block chocolate is the best in town the portions are stingy. I ordered a waffle cone with a double scoop and the two scoops didn't even clear the top rim of the cone. I understand costs continue to rise for businesses, but don't shrink the portions. Just add a little more to the price if need be. My view of a double is a filled cone with two scoops on top. That's the way it was growing up. I know that has changed to two scoops is now a filled cone with one on top. Please at least give us that.

Hubby and I tried their milkshakes which were delicious! Staff are very nice and would definitely go back!

I ordered a waffle cone with a double scoop, but the two scoops didn’t even reach the top rim of the cone. I understand that costs are rising for businesses, but I wish they wouldn't compromise on portion sizes. If necessary, just raise the price a little. To me, a double scoop means a cone filled to the brim with two scoops on top—that's how I remember it from my childhood. I know times have changed, and a double scoop now often means a filled cone with just one scoop on top. At the very least, please consider giving us a bit more.
