The food remains incredible! Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews from those who are just sour.
I really loved this place, but today it was not what I expected. The older couple who usually runs it wasn't there, and we were helped by some young guys who were quite rude. The aguachiles were disappointing; they tasted like a mix of water, lime, and jalapeño. The chips were old and too hard to eat, and they didn't bother to remove the jalapeño seeds—gross! On top of that, the prices have gone up, and it's just not worth it. I'm sorry, but this place really needs the old couple back.
Camarones ala Diabla, been coming here about 20 years and it never disappoints. I drive all the way from Long Beach to get this plate! Great customer service. Repeat customer! All their seafood is fresh and plentiful. I paid 20 dollars for this plate andit was well worth it.
The food is excellent, although the seating area is quite small. For lunch, I dined in and spent about $10–20 per person. I would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5, while the service was outstanding at 5. The atmosphere was a bit average, scoring a 3. I highly recommend trying the Camarones a La Diabla.
