Residencial Familia Restaurant

A family-run restaurant where local food is always a good starter when they are looking for a new food. this was a nice little sound (about 5 minutes) from Machico city, but it is worth it. they must try the...scabbard fish with bananas and passion fruit sauce. it is so delicious and the portion size was excellent value for money. fresh salad and also a good house white wine. the service was excellent as they would expect from a family-run restaurant. I am back on madeira later in the year and will certainly visit there again. well done, first set.

It is strange to see my review of 5 years ago still valid, which remains with the al a carte menu, as it is far above the set menu options. that said I really enjoyed the food and the service here (again)

Tasteless eating with absolutely no flavors. nice staff, but they could not compensate the catastrophic foods. cheap.

We’ve stayed at a hotel close by twice and have eaten at this restaurant several times and firmly believe it’s the best in Machico and we have eaten in many. Just beside the Dom Pedro. Fresh food, fabulous taste and good service. 100% recommended

Lovely local restaurant. Very simple fresh food- lovely server- the grilled prawns were superb and they served the BEST garlic bread- crispy crust. Very very reasonable prices and excellent wine list .
