Worst seafood basket ever. Prawns, scallops and calamari were way overcooked to the point the prawns were burnt and couldn’t eat. Asked for chicken salt on the chips, non existent. Waste of money, hope I’m not sick in the morning.
I ordered two fish and chips and calamari the other night at this restaurant. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience. Despite repeatedly asking for no salt, everything was overly salted. Additionally, I was surprised by the unexpected fees charged on my credit card, as there was no sign indicating this would happen. The fish I received was supposed to be Coral trout or Red throat, but it seemed more like a frozen fish from Tanzania. The portion sizes were small, only around 120 grams each, which means I paid around $150 per kilogram of fish. This is much too expensive for the quality I received. I would have expected at least a side salad or some form of garnish for this price. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the value for money at this restaurant and will not be returning. As a retired restaurant owner myself, I will make sure to inform the boating community to avoid this place. When the establishment eventually closes down, I won't be surprised.
I ordered 5 pieces of fish (3 breaded and 2 grilled) for $50. All of the fish was overcooked, dry, tasteless, and difficult to chew. The grilled fish was particularly disappointing as it was very small, not even the size of your palm (see photo). I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.
I have been dining at this restaurant every Friday for the past 3 years. Unfortunately, the quality of their battered fish has been declining, especially in the past few months. The batter is no longer fresh and crisp, and the fish is very dry. It seems like the freshness of their ingredients has changed.
