Dissatisfied having $100 in gift cards to use at the cantina that closed. We do not like the fast serve locations as we do not cate for the items offered. I gave the gift cards to my son to use for him amd his friends. He called the emmaus location and they said they take them. Same as the owner Juan said on their social media. Come to find out they are unable to accept them at this time because they are changing their point of sale system. Honestly as a former business owner I am surprised they are managing to stay in business at all worh the current issues and business model they are using. Shame as this area needs to good Mexican food too.
I was excited a real Mexican restaurant was finally opening in our area and the first time I visited I was pleasantly surprised since I expected another fast food taco place. The food was tasty and service was good. I thought I found a place I can visit often. But my second time was a disappointment. I ordered a mixed tacos dish, the portions are very small and presentation was mediocre. One of my tacos was made with chicken from the can and not with fresh chicken as I expected. It really tasted like tuna fish so I was wondering if I got the wrong item but then I thought, who makes tacos with tuna from can? It was a watery mess and couldn 't eat it. Also their margaritas are pricy and they barely taste like tequila. Not a place I can go back to nor recommend to anyone. Good one day, not so good the next. They really need to hire someone that can cook authentic Mexican food and maybe then can survive.
Love it there so delicious and the wait staff are very nice and friendly. Great place for a quick bite to eat or a nice dinner.
A delicious and fresh alternative to tired chains like Chipotle! I went to Macungie Location Don Juan the Thursday after Christmas during the Lunch hour. Firstly, I would always recommend you make reservations. The restaurant really started to get busy from 12:30 1:00 PM. The food the food is undoubtedly fresh as Don Juan proudly advertises. I got the taco salad, fish tacos, and chicken tacos with the house made guacamole and chips as appetizer. Everything was really tasty and well seasoned. Their chips are ABSOLUTELY addictive!! They are made onsite. I have to say though my favorite part were their margaritas! WOW they are delicious! Thursdays (as of writing this review) are $5 all day and there are tons of choices. I tried the pineapple marg. All in all, this is a much more elevated dining choice for the local area, considering Hamilton Crossings has so many yucky, greasy chains. Thanks Don Juan! Can't wait to return (spoiler alert: it'll probably be a Thursday haha)
