Clean area.. friendly staff...big portion for us..and price is really deal.
First experience at a Cracker Barrel and in COVID times the food and service here was exceptional. We are trying to skip eating out because it's hardly worth it lately, nothing is what it use to be. Prices are high, service and food quality is low and not worth the time. However this place is excellent! The food was the best, it was fresh, delicious, and portions were filling, and there was a nice selection. The service was great, server admitted he was new, but I wouldn't have noticed had he not said anything. We're definitely coming back. The small store is an extra special benefit, we browsed the vintage candy brands, bottled soda, quilts, clothes, cast iron cookware, burts bees hand cut soaps, and sparkly pretty misc stuff, and the prices aren't horrible there either. All-in-all an expected great experience.
We made a promise to ourselves to stop by a Cracker Barrel during our trip, and this location, one of the farthest north on our route, turned out to be a delightful surprise. It was a bit quieter than we anticipated for lunchtime, but that didn’t detract from our experience at all. The restaurant was excellent! The staff were incredibly helpful, and the store was clean and stocked with all the quality products you would expect. Our food was perfectly prepared and met all our expectations. The manager on duty was very active, engaging with her staff, checking on tables, collecting high chairs, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We were thoroughly impressed by this location and would definitely recommend it to others. If we find ourselves passing through Madison again, stopping here will be a must for a meal and some relaxation!
I've been visiting Cracker Barrel restaurants for many years, and today's meal was as satisfying and comforting as ever. However, in our recent visits, I've noticed a more aggressive push for alcohol sales, which feels a bit intrusive. It seems like this might be a new revenue stream for them, but as non-drinkers, I'm concerned that this could jeopardize the family-friendly atmosphere we've always appreciated. In addition to our meal, we also bought two dresses and a decorative towel, which were reasonably priced.
At Cracker Barrel, you pretty much know what to expect. The place boasts a charming old-fashioned store stocked with unique items and delightful treats, not to mention a restaurant menu that often highlights classic country-style chicken dinners.
