Mr. Brews Taphouse - Madison

Disappointing experience. I live next door to this restaurant and have been there four times. The first time we visited was when they had just opened and the cheese curds were tiny like bunny poop. When we asked for certain items from the menu, the server laughed and said they didn't have them because they had just opened. On a subsequent visit, I was met with silence and a judgmental look from a young female bartender for no apparent reason. Today, the bartender was slow and forgot to give me my orange with my blue moon beer, even though I saw her serving another customer with the orange. The final straw was when she entered my full credit card information, including the three-digit security code, which I found unnecessary and risky. I requested she use a different register, which worked perfectly fine. I have had my credit card information stolen in the past and am not taking any chances. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Came here to try the Plant-Based burger. It would’ve been better with a plant-based sauce. All sauce choices are made with egg-based, fattening Mayonnaise. Even non-vegans may like a sauce without Mayo, or toppings without cheese. The most basic burger included cheese, so a meat-eater that orders ‘No Cheese’ would still pay for the cheese (no reduced price without cheese). Also there’s a $9 UPCHARGE for the plant-based party! Why should I subsidize more expensive meat and cheese items?! This is a place to go for beers, not good food. Excellent service!

I enjoyed dining at this cozy patio bar for a casual dinner. The beer selection was great and I especially loved the Caprese hamburger. The peanut butter burger was a unique and enjoyable twist. The service was friendly, although it started off slow, but eventually became satisfactory.

A bit noisy when you stumble in during their busy time, but tons of fun!! Had a great time at the bar talking with the staff and making new friends. Huge selection of brews and they mix them too!! Had a Kentucky Bourbon Burger that was fantastic! Highly recommended this little bar and grill!!

Pretzel bites with beer cheese was very good. The jalapeno cheddar burger had the right amount of heat. The bacon mac and cheese burger is by far one of the best burgers I've ever had!!!!
