Samrat Indian Cuisine - Magill

We went to Haveli for my mother's birthdayReading the lone review on Yelp, I wasn't holding my breath for anything amazing.

We placed a takeaway order tonight and were extremely dissapointed. One of entrees we ordered was Tandoori Chicken Tikka $10 for 3 matchbox size peices of chicken that was extremley overcook - how someone overcooks chicken thigh to this extent is beyond me, clearly it was pre cooked and reheated. The lamb ragon josh (which was requested hot) was prepared not hot at all and again had extremely dry lamb, my anti chilli 4 year old ate it which goes to show how mild it was. Considering there are a couple of other indian places within a few Kms I would stear clear of this one. Pre-cooked packet Indian food just doesnt cut it in this day and age.

Delicious Food and great prices. The combo deals are well worth it. I've been back a few times now. The staff are friendly and the restaurant seems clean and tidy.

Visited this restaurant for the first time a month ago and I was so impressed with the excellent service, fantastic menu, great prices and delicious food. We were given complimentary papadums and riata, ordered and entree each an a main then were too full for the complimentary dessert that was offered to us.I have also picked up takeaway recently, and while I was waiting complimentary papadums and riata were brought out to me.We will definitely be coming back!!

The food is great and at a reasonable price. The service is always very friendly and attentive. It's never busy when we have been in. Often there has been no one else there (usually for lunch). Hopefully more people can discover how nice this place is.
