We had both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and found a family pet cat wandering around. With the breakfast or salad buffet open, and unattended, the cat had access to the food.I love cats, and have two of my own, but think eating establishments should not have them inside the eating area.
Very disappointed. Not the Seagulls I remember from 10 years ago. The meals were very average and overpriced. Garlic bread burnt and when we asked the waitress about the dessert, which was Vanilla brûlée - Served with vanilla ice cream and mango coulis, the waitress said she can't explain it! Disappointing.
Seagulls used to be my favourite restaurant with great service and good meals. I took business guests there last week, and I was so embarrassed I contemplating leaving and going somewhere else. It's now presented and serviced as a low budget, no frills restaurant. We waited a long time to get drinks and when they came out, some were the wrong order. We had to hail someone to order our food. The menu is a standard pub menu, very lack lustre and nothing special....lots of crumbed $10 specials which you can get at any other pub in Townsville. Whilst the food served was ok, it wasn't good enough to get me to come back. So disappointed.
Really enjoyed the hot cooked breakfast, great selection and for the $15 it was way better than a burger and hash browns
